Grant Williams
Founder, NextShift Ops
Grant Williams is the founder of NextShift Ops and brings a background shaped by leadership, problem-solving, and operational improvement across a wide range of environments. Earlier in life, Grant and his wife moved to Sri Lanka after the tsunami to help build homes for fishing families who had lost everything. That experience reinforced a practical mindset of solving real problems, improving systems, and finding better ways to get important work done.
Grant later built a 20-year career with the Irving Police Department, serving in a variety of assignments that included narcotics, the Bomb Squad, recruiting, and leadership roles. During his law enforcement career, he was also task-forced with Homeland Security Investigations. Across those roles, he gained extensive experience in operational problem-solving, team leadership, training, systems improvement, and working in high-responsibility environments. He retired from the Irving Police Department in January 2026.
Today, Grant leads NextShift Ops with a focus on helping organizations improve operations, reduce friction, and build practical systems that make work easier to run.
